The Buddha and the Cat

Picture
This is the piece I made for the TV programme “Home Is The Art Is”.
I loved making it and it makes me smile, as I know it does the buyers.

Otter panel

Picture
This panel was made for a friend to remember a special person, who to my mind reminds me of a happy, playful and graceful Otter!

Devonshire Hare

Picture
This Hare was commissioned for a surprise birthday present. It includes scenes from the Devonshire countryside, and the owners 2 black labradors which are situated far enough away from the hare so that they don’t chase it!

Arran Sunset

Picture
Picture
Arran Sunset was commissioned as a 90th birthday gift which was then installed into a front door.

Hedgehog & Hoglets

Picture
Picture
This semi-circular panel was commissioned for a kitchen corner cabinet, in a beautifully handcrafted rustic style kitchen.
It sits at the top of the cabinet and is backlit, so that it glows from within.
The house has a lovely wild garden full of beautiful flowers, shrubs and trees, which at one time had its own resident hedgehog & hoglets.
They’ve since moved on, but this window celebrates their time in the garden.

Badger Panel

Picture
Picture
This panel was commissioned to be a focal point in a lovely little cottage called “Badgers Croft”.
It’s also my husbands favourite panel and he wants to steal it back off the owner! Not happening, they love it!

Sunset over the Sea

Picture
This panel was made as a memorial, initials have been etched into the glass paint in the rocks.
A special glass called “gold pink” has been used in the sky (it’s the salmon pink colour). Gold pink glass is made using real gold.

Roseberry Topping

Picture
This panel has been made remembering a place in the Cleveland Hills, special to the client, and with 3 hares as a symbol of family.

Bee Panel

Picture
This panel was made as a memorial for a beekeeper.
I've included bee friendly flowers such as foxgloves, lavender, clover, cornflower & phacelia.

I think it's important that we all help the bees by planting as many bee friendly flowers as we can!

Uffington White Horse

Picture
This panel has been made for a client who loves the Uffington White Horse.
The Uffington White Horse is a large stylised horse hill figure carved into the Berkshire Downs overlooking The Vale of the White Horse.
The Uffington White Horse is thought to be the oldest of the hill horse figures in Britain dating from the Bronze-Age.

Glass Niche Cover examples...

Picture
Stag.
An example of a panel which I made as a sample niche cover for Willow Row Barrow, a neo-Neolithic Barrow, created as a place to put the ashes of loved ones.
Warm colours have been used to reflect the Autumnal hues seen in nature.
See my links page for more information on the Barrows.
Picture
Owl.
This was the first panel I made for Sacred Stones, used as an example of how stained glass works as a niche cover inside the Barrows. (See my links page for more info)
